Ms. Pinel Founding President of Embracing Latina Leadership AllianceS (ELLAS), a Non- profit 501(c)(3) Non-partisan Mentorship and Leadership Organization in the City of Long Beach. ELLAS is dedicated to the educational, professional and political advancement of Latina high school youth Ms. Pinel is a twenty-seven year resident of the City of Long Beach, California and former Legislative Aide—Field Deputy for City Council, City of Long Beach, the fifth largest City in California. Collaborating with city and state legislative staff, elected officials, community leaders and councilmanic constituency. Ms. Pinel’s extensive knowledge and understanding of local, state and federal government operations, public affairs, administrative policy and advocacy, personifies her professional posture, leadership and commitment to her peers and the persons she serves. Ms. Pinel a visionary passionate about youth, education, civic participation and the Arts. Her extensive involvement in the community impacting underprivileged young women in grades 8 - 12 education, civic participation and economic development demonstrates her sincere efforts to encourage and improve the lives of all citizens in the communities she’s worked in and lives.

Ms. Pinel, tireless efforts and leadership have earned the following awards and recognitions; the distinguished United States Presidential "Points of Light" Award, 2015 25 Mujeres Mas Poderosas Miami Florida Awards Presenter, 2016 National Hispanic Heritage Foundation and NFL "Orguello Hispano Community Award, 2005 United States House of Representatives, Special Congressional Recognition Award—Outstanding and Invaluable Service to Community, Annual American Business Women' s Associations—2004 Women of Vision Award, Soroptomist Award, Community Leadership Long Beach Chapter and Soroptomist Regional.
